Beyond What We Can Ask, Imagine, Remember, or Express

On this Thanksgiving Day, God is giving blessings beyond what we can ask or imagine or remember or express, but these are a few of the blessings I am thankful for today.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me,
bless His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits . . .
Psalm 103:1-2

Tiny toes just right for “This Little Piggy”
Hands to hold onto in joy and in pain
Aromas that remind me of long, long ago
Niceness in action by strangers and friends
Kind hearts in tune to the needs others miss
Smiles of great-grandmas when little ones visit
Gratitude expressed to our Father and to His children
Imparted values that shine forth because they sunk in so deeply
Visits by family from nearby and far away
Intercessory prayers because everyone needs them
Night owls chattering after the children are in bed
Gentleness displayed for the young and the old

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving, dear mamas.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him,
bless His name.
Psalm 100:4

  1. Charlene, I have gotten homeschool encouragement from your blog for several years. As I was searching for pictures of where I grew up, this blog post popped up. If you’ve never been to Barnet and Peacham in the fall, you would really enjoy it (plus there’s tons of Revoltionary War history there ????). Thank you for your ministry and helping to bring history alive to homeschool families.
