Dining home at the Will Rogers Birth Home site, near Oologah, Oklahoma. The renowned American humorist and movie performer was born in the ranchouse, built by Rogerss parents, Clem and Mary both mixed-blood Cherokees in 1879. The 400-acre living ranch (meaning still active), called the Dog Iron Ranch and the White House on the Verdigris [River] by neighbors, once raised as many as 10,000 longhorn cattle. There are now (as of 2020) about 50.
