Creativity, Love, and Power

Ray and I like to share window beauties with each other. He recently encouraged me to see the fog rising above the river. I had already noticed how pretty the wet blowing leaves were in the front yard during a rain, . . .

. . . but in the wet aftermath of the rain, the fog continued to rise above the river beyond the pasture. The setting sun through the clouds and the growing darkness made the fog even more prominent.

I am amazed at water. God created so much of it. Not only is it beautiful, but it is so useful. At home, we drink it, clean with it, and cook with it. At play, we splash in it, swim in it, float on it in boats, and glide across it on water skis (well . . . , not me personally). Farmers depend on water for their crops, both from rain and from irrigation. Miners use it when they extract minerals. Manufacturers use water to make paper and steel, to process food, and to do so many other things. Many of God’s creatures live in water. The list of uses for water seems endless.

It falls. It rises. It pours. It freezes. It clings.

It feeds beauty.

God has the creativity, the love, and the power to fill our every need.

The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens
And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth,
He who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out
on the face of the earth, the Lord is His name.
Amos 9:6
