I love new experiences. My mother told me that when I was very little I never wanted to miss anything. That’s still true. Traveling to conventions in California and Denver gave me opportunities for many new experiences. One thing I enjoyed was the unusual road signs warning us that some creature might cross the road. In Tennessee I’m used to seeing yellow diamonds with a deer silhouette in the center. Out West we saw signs that we had to figure out. At various times, we saw yellow diamonds with elk, mountain lion, and bighorn sheep silhouettes. We did see one elk, but he was much more interested in eating than in crossing the road. This is one of my favorites. It was at the Grand Canyon.

When we travel, we have to stay alert because we never know what may be crossing our path. Life is like that, too. We never know what will cross our path, but we know Who will be with us when it does.

Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10, NASB
