God at Work
For years, I have kept a list of Bible verses I might write about some day. While working on my Labor Day post for Monday, I searched through the list for Bible verses about work. God’s Word does teach about people working, but it says much more about the work that God does. I’d like to share some of those verses today.

For the word of the Lord is upright,
And all His work is done in faithfulness.
Psalm 33:4
May we be able to say the same about ourselves and our children. May all our work be done in faithfulness.

But as for me, the nearness of God is my good;
I have made the Lord God my refuge,
That I may tell of all Your works.
Psalm 73:28
Likewise, may we and our children make God our refuge that we too may tell of all His works.

I shall remember the deeds of the Lord;
Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
I will meditate on all Your work
And muse on Your deeds.
Psalm 77:11-12
Praise God for the opportunity to homeschool where you can learn from history and science and teach your children from a Christian worldview.

For You, O Lord, have made me glad by what You have done,
I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.

In spite of the bad news we hear and see in our world, Christians can sing for joy at the works of God’s hands.
Bird nests in Chaco Culture National Historical Park
And wonder of wonders, God not only works in history and in His Creation, He also works in His children.
Now to Him who is able to do
far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works within us,
to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
