God Sent Jesus for All of Us
Shepherds were in the fields keeping watch over their sheep on that history changing day when Mary lay Jesus in a manger. While Jesus lay there, an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before the shepherds. The glory of the Lord shone around them.
Naturally, the shepherds were very afraid, but the angel told them not to be afraid and taught them eternally important truths.
The angel told them good news.
The good news the angel brought was joyful for all the people.
A Savior had been born that day in the city of David.
He had been born for them.
The Savior is Christ the Lord.
The shepherds would find the baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.
After the shepherds heard this astounding news, a multitude of the heavenly host appeared with the angel. The host praised God and said:
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among men
with whom He is pleased.”
Luke 2:14
Jesus came to earth to be the Savior of all people. Christmas is a wonderful time to remind our children that God loves all the people all over the world. God is pleased when we practice peace on earth and when we love all people, too. With that in mind, I’d like to share some Christmas photos from the past that illustrate people of many nations celebrating Christmas.
