Happy Daddy’s Day
When I was in high school I wrote an essay about love. I said that the ultimate examples of love in my life were the love of my heavenly Father and the love of my daddy.
For the last thirty-four years I have gotten to watch my dear husband be a devoted daddy. Then, I got to watch my son John become a devoted daddy, too. What servants both of these men are. Added to these joys have been watching my two sons-in-law become daddies. Happy first Father’s Day, Gregory!
I have many sweet memories of Daddy. He worked hard and had little time off, but when he was off work, he and mother were taking us to church or someplace to have fun. I love the memory of Daddy playing on the playground with my brother and me.
Jesus taught us so many things. Two of the most precious to me are His example of His relationship with His Abba and His telling us that God is our Abba, too.
See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us,
that we would be called children of God; and such we are.
