Rain forests line the coast of North America from Oregon through Canada to the southeast Alaska panhandle. The flowers are beautiful, like these in Vancouver's Stanley Park.

When in Canada, eat like a Canadian. This dish has all the elements of poutine, but I wasn't brave enough to eat my fries, cheese curds, and gravy all together. I asked for each thing to be separate. It's good!

Ray and I have been totally dependent onĀ other people to carry us from here to there since we left our house at 7:30 a.m. on August 20. We have ridden by plane, train, ship, bus, and taxi (we could have traveled on one of the world’s longest ziplines at Icy Strait Point, but, well, we didn’t).

In every incidence someone else has been at the wheel or throttle.Ā It’s been nice not being in the driver’s seat.

If only we could all realize how very dependent we all are all of the time.

Moses went up to God,
and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying,
ā€œThus you shall say to the house of Jacob
and tell the sons of Israel:
ā€˜You yourselves have seen
what I did to the Egyptians,
and how I bore you on eaglesā€™ wings,
and brought you to Myself.
Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice
and keep My covenant,
then you shall be My
own possession among all the peoples,
for all the earth is Mine;
Exodus 19:3-5, NASB

Today may you recognize ways that God is bearing you on eagles’ wings.
