Keep Calm and Homeschool On! Convention This Friday
We are all on a new learning curve, aren’t we? Until lately I haven’t wondered about what time of day is the best time to go to the grocery store, for example. My solution? Eat what we have and don’t go at all. I certainly am thankful for our stocked freezer!
Learning something new can give us empathy for other people who have to learn what we already know how to do — including our children!
Last week I was learning how to record videos without our videographer! In a six-day period, in which we needed to make ten class-length videos, that was quite a learning curve. I am grateful that I could send them electronically to Titus at home, where he took over the editing. Whew! I loved what we shared, but we are thankful to have the recording finished.
This is why we were recording these classes. The Homeschoolers of Maine convention, where we were supposed to speak last weekend, and the Indiana Association of Home Educators convention, where two of our team members were supposed to exhibit this coming weekend, have come together to offer a joint online convention this coming Friday, March 27. Leaders of both organizations have been bustling to put this together, just as our team has been bustling to get our classes recorded for it.
Ray and I hope that what we share this weekend will help homeschooling families keep calm and homeschool on. Let’s be patient with one another in our homes as we learn how very hard it is sometimes to learn something new.
A wise man will hear and increase in learning,
