Loving Heart, Loving Hands, Loving Words

Little children are needy little humans. They hit their heads. They smash their fingers. They feel left out. They need a loving touch.

When children need extra love, they let everyone know loudly and enthusiastically! When they do something they are proud of, they coming running with a “Mama, look!” Over and over, all through the day children come to Mama for comfort and assurance, for a hug and a pat. I praise God that your children have your loving heart, loving hands, and loving words to comfort, assure, hug, and pat.

The grownups in our lives probably aren’t as loud and enthusiastic when they have needs for comfort, assurance, hugs, and pats — but they need them just the same. We have to keep our eyes open so that we will see what they need. When we find out what those needs are, that’s when it’s time to use our loving hearts, loving hands, and loving words to:

Rejoice with those who rejoice,
and weep with those who weep.
Romans 12:15

We look forward to the day when the weeping is over and eternal rejoicing begins — the work of our Father’s loving heart, loving hands, and loving words.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne,
saying, “Behold,
the tabernacle of God is among men,
and He will dwell among them,
and they shall be His people,
and God Himself will be among them,
and He will wipe away
every tear from their eyes;
and there will no longer be any death;
there will no longer be any mourning,
or crying, or pain;
the first things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:3-4
