Yesterday I mentioned the great cloud of witnesses surrounding us. Miss Johnnie Faye is one of those for Ray and me.

She faces her every challenge with faith—and she has had some doozies. Every time she gets through yet another challenge, she gives God the glory and credit.

Miss Johnnie Faye has visited many places, but she has always lived within a four-mile section of Jackson County. Last night our brave friend laid her head in her new apartment. We are proud of her for making this courageous decision, which she is making the same way she makes every other decision.

About three years ago, we made videos of Miss Johnnie Faye telling stories from growing up in rural Jackson County. I’d like to honor her today by sharing two of her stories with you. Enjoy and be sure to share them with your children. They’re fun. She is a great storyteller.

Day on the Creek – 1:38 minutes

Water from Across the Creek – 2:32 minutes

Therefore, since we have a great high priest
who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,
let us hold fast our confession.
For we do not have a high priest
who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,
but One who has been tempted in all things as we are,
yet without sin.
Therefore let us draw near with confidence
to the throne of grace,
so that we may receive mercy
and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16
