If you burned the toast and the pie and the roast . . .
About a year and a half ago, Nate, Mary Evelyn, Clara, Ray, and I were heading north on the back road to Cincinnati where we had booths at the Great Homeschooling Convention. Being so organized and always ahead of time (yeah, right!), I was thinking about what I was going to say in the class I was scheduled to teach there. From the back seat, I said to Mary Evelyn, I wish I had a song for my class. She said she would see what she could do; and about a half hour later, she handed me a handwritten copy of “You Are a Success.”
For some time, I have been thinking that she and I should do a video of it. I had in mind something silly that we did in our fuzzy bathrobes (mine is red and hers is pink). Well, her vision far surpassed anything in my rather wild imagination!
A couple of weeks ago Notgrass Company shipping specialist/technical whiz/homeschool graduate/all-round great guy Ethan (who is also the son of one of my dearest friends) gathered up our bulky orange work lights and our tiny video camera for a few hours of filming at Mev’s house. It was a blast.
Now that Ethan and John have completed their hours of technical creativity, you can click on the link below to see the result. For all of you who are (like Mary Evelyn, Bethany, Jo in Little Women, and me) hopelessly flawed, I think you will identify.
