One more thing about that sack of rocks . . .

When I previewed my little video of encouragement, “Can I keep on homeschooling?” before it went out to our email subscribers yesterday, I was a little embarrassed that I mentioned my old “sack of rocks” in a video two weeks in a row, but I decided to let it slide. Last week’s video was about the big why in our homeschool motivation. This week’s is about the little bitty, super-important whys that make up the moments of your days.

Please enjoy every priceless moment with your children. Bask in them. Rest in them. Savor them. Cherish them. Linger over them. Hey, take a long soak in them. And thank God for them.

Yesterday morning Ray left very early to enjoy breakfast with friends. I got up as he said goodbye. Looking out the window, I saw this gentle pink sky.

I hurried downstairs for my camera, knowing I was in danger of missing that fleeting moment when I could capture a picture. Mama moments are like that sunrise. You’ve got to catch them when they happen — and you get to.

Rejoice always;
pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17
