Praying for the President and First Lady
My heart is heavy this morning as I think about President and Mrs. Trump having positive tests for the coronavirus. The urging in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 is particularly meaningful today. And what a perfect prayer for our children, too. What better could we want for them while they are on earth besides a tranquil and quiet life lived in all godliness and dignity.
As you pray for the president and first lady, know that I am joining you in prayer.
First of all, then, I urge
that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings,
be made on behalf of all men,
for kings and all who are in authority,
so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life
in all godliness and dignity.
