Refuge
Psalm 52 tells of loving evil more than good, of words that devour, and of tongues that devise destruction.
The Psalm also tells of:
. . . the man who would not make God his refuge,
But trusted in the abundance of his riches
And was strong in his evil desire.
Psalm 52:7
Ray and I recently watched an interview with a physician. The interviewer began with these words: “As always, we look to science to save us.”
As homeschooling mamas, you can teach your children about God’s amazing creation, such as this three-inch spider I saw last night . . .
That is his back and this is his side.
And here is his belly.
You can train your children to use science for good purposes, but never to trust it to save them. You can also teach your children to make God their refuge.
What an amazing Father we have, One Who wants us to make Him our refuge. As Psalm 52 continues:
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree
in the house of God;
I trust in the lovingkindness of God
forever and ever.
I will give You thanks forever,
because You have done it,
And I will wait on Your name, for it is good,
in the presence of Your godly ones.
