Repairs

I recently shared the poem, “The Christmas Box,” about a family who sent a gift of love to their son and brother who was serving overseas during World War I. In 1918 Americans sent 200,000 Christmas packages to American soldiers in France. As you can see in the photo below, some of those boxes got damaged in transit.

Army officers set up a “Christmas Box Hospital” to repair damaged boxes and to re-box 11,000 of them!

I’m thankful that people cared enough to repair those precious gifts for those precious recipients.

I’m thankful that God cared enough to send Jesus. I’m also thankful that He cares enough to repair us.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ,
this person is a new creation;
the old things passed away;
behold, new things have come.
2 Corinthians 5:17
