The greatest teacher Who ever lived is Jesus Christ. He is the best example of how to teach our children. In Luke 6:12-13, we read about a night when Jesus went to a mountain and spent the whole night praying to His Father. The next morning He chose twelve of His disciples to be His apostles. Mark 3:14 says that He appointed twelve so that they would be with Him.
What a wonderful way for Jesus to teach these twelve men, to have them be with Him. By having them near Him, He could teach them in every teachable moment. One of the greatest blessings of homeschooling is the opportunity to have our children with us so we can use teachable moments, too.
And He appointed twelve,
so that they would be with Him . . .
