After the young mother in North Carolina told me that she had been accused of not being a typical homeschooling mother because of the size of her earrings  (see yesterday’s blog), she and her husband (I’ll call them Sarah and Michael) told me more about their lives. Sarah was homeschooled herself, but Michael was not. They agreed that Sarah was probably the first homeschooler Michael’s parents had ever met. Now they know others–their grandchildren.

As the conversation continued, Michael and Sarah shared with me about their commitment to their marriage. Michael told me that Sarah is stuck with him. He said, “If she ever leaves, I’m going with her.”

On many occasions, I have playfully said to Ray, “You’re stuck with me.” He is. I’m not going anywhere. My playful words mean one thing: “I am committed to you. You can count on me.”

Are you and your husband stuck together for life? It is one of the most precious things you can give to your children.

“What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
Mark 10:9, NASB
