Spring of 2021 is the sweetest smelling spring that I remember. I find myself wanting simply to stand outside and breathe in. Ah . . . .

I think that is how God wants other people to feel when they are around us.

But thanks be to God,
who always leads us in triumph in Christ,
and through us reveals the fragrance
of the knowledge of Him in every place.
2 Corinthians 2:14

When we give off a sweet fragrance to others, we are being like Jesus. It’s a tall, tall order, I know, but think what a difference it will make in the world. May 2021 also be the year when the world smells such a sweet aroma that they want simply to stand and breath it in. Ah . . .

Therefore be imitators of God,
as beloved children; 
and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you
and gave Himself up for us,
an offering and a sacrifice to God 
as a fragrant aroma.
Ephesians 5:1-2
