The Bright Days
Like most five-year-old girls, ourĀ five-year-old granddaughter loves to pretend. Just last night, in the midst of her parents’ Fourth of July party, she told me about her three imaginary brothers — Wesley, Esley, and . . . I can’t remember the other name, but it rhymed with Wesley and Esley.
Clara not only likes to pretend. She loves to tell you all about it. Recently she was telling her mama about what she had been pretending that day and said that it wasn’t the olden days — it was “the bright days.”
Aren’t youĀ grateful to beĀ living in the bright days with your children?
But the path of the righteous
is like the light of dawn,
That shines brighter and brighter
until the full day.
Proverbs 4:18
