The Lord Is Near
I don’t know what to say this morning; but I know that, while I am heartbroken that conflict is happening in Iran and the Middle East, many of you are feeling it especially deeply because you have loved ones serving in the military. Wherever they are, this must add even deeper concern to your tender hearts.
Even if you are not directly affected right now, these events may be causing fresh pain because of your own past service or the past service of those you love or the death of someone you love or the continuing struggles of someone you love due to past physical or emotional trauma.
God loves you. He comforts the brokenhearted. I care, too, and I am praying for you.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18
Thank you so much for your encouragement each day! ❤ I especially thank the Lord for leading you to share this verse today. I loved and remembered the words, but, for some reason, hadn’t been able to locate where it was. I wanted to share it with a friend who is suddenly having a great deal of pain of an unknown cause. She is really down about it, since it prohibits her from being her usual active self. She has been to several drs who keep referring her to the next one. Her next appointment is with another specialist this Wednesday. 🙏 Thank you! I will share this with her now!
