The Love Faith
Love is at the center of the Christian faith. Perhaps we are so used to this amazing love that we don’t realize just how radical an idea it was in the first century. Let’s step back on this Valentine’s Day and think deeply about love — this radical idea that originated with God.
♥ God is love (1 John 4:8).
♥ Nothing can separate Christians from His love (Romans 8:39).
♥ God loved the world so much that He sent His Son to provide eternal life (John 3:16).
♥ Love is poured into hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).
♥ God wants husbands and wives to love one another (Colossians 3;19; Titus 2: 4).
♥ God wants mothers to love their children (Titus 2:4).
♥ God wants Christians to love one another (John 13:34).
♥ Christian love is love of the heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30).
♥ Love is a characteristic of being a disciple (John 13:35).
Love is one of those many lessons we teach our children as we sit, walk, lie down, and rise up.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three;
but the greatest of these is love.
