The Sounds That Surround
One of our granddaughters loved to make up songs when she was little. While spending the day with us when she was five years old, she made up a play, as she had seen her mama do for the Homeschool Dramatic Society since she was born. She sang and sang. Line after line, she strung together phrases from hymns and Scripture. Her lips overflowed with what her ears had taken in.
As I enjoyed the beautiful music and the beautiful message, I rejoiced that she had been surrounded by sounds of faith.
Yesterday I quoted the “Be careful little ears what you hear” verse from “Be Careful Little Eyes What You See.”
Bose®, Sony, Yamaha, and other companies offer “surround sound” systems for our homes, but parents are who determine what sounds surround their little ones. Thank you for being careful what the little ears in your house hear.
