An Invitation and a Promise
I don’t know about you, but I’m pooped. Yesterday was busy, busy, busy, and I haven’t caught up on my rest after the busyness of play practice and performances. I had anticipated some of the tasks I needed to do, but the day brought several that I wasn’t expecting.
My guess is that many of you are pooped, too.
I’m thankful for God’s promise in Matthew 11:28 for us pooped mamas. We can all identify with the “weary and heavy-laden” part of the verse. What I love is the invitation and the promise. They are real. Jesus wants us to come to Him when we are weary and heavy-laden. If we do, He promises rest. Let’s go, shall we?
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden,
and I will give you rest.
