Ray’s radiation oncologist told us in October that it takes three months to know the effectiveness of radiation treatments for prostate cancer. That seemed like a long time, but now the time has come. Ray has an appointment at 11 a.m. tomorrow to learn the results. Please pray with us that the news is good.

I think he looks great, don’t you? Let’s pray together that he looks this good on the inside.

Your prayers last year were effective and deeply appreciated. Thank you for praying with us again. We are very grateful for you.

When we were at Hope Lodge in September and October, I saw strong marriages and troubled ones. And I saw how those differences affected couples facing a crisis.

I don’t know whether today is a somewhat “normal” day for you (whatever that is!) or whether it is a day of crisis, but I do know this: what happens today is a building block for your future. Every wise decision you make today in how and what you teach your children, in how each of your family members relates to one another, and in the ways you build closeness in your family is good preparation for whatever crisis may come in the future.

I am praying for you.

Rejoice always;
pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

  1. It is 5:30am here in Oregon, and I will be praying for you and Ray this morning Charlene! May the Lord give you calm hearts and minds, and ample trust in His plans for your future, whatever may come to pass. And if it His will, I pray that Ray will be cancer free today!!

    Blessings,
