Lessons I’m Learning
Every new experience is a way to learn something new. That is certainly true of this safer-at-home experience. Today I am sharing some of the things I am learning and some of the blessings I am appreciating anew.
- People certainly do touch their faces a lot without realizing it.
- My perception of time is ever changing. Twenty seconds feels like a long time when I am washing my hands.
- I really don’t have to do all those things I used to think I had to do.
- From-scratch cooking tastes really good.
- Each morsel of food is a gift from God, something to be savored and enjoyed.
- We are indebted to farmers and warehouse workers and truck drivers and to people working in many occupations.
- The world has many unsung heroes.
- People are precious.
- Face-to-face contact is a dream come true, but online time is a blessing, too.
- Half a paper towel is often enough.
- Sunshine is another of God’s kind gifts.
- Walking and breathing in fresh air are great pleasures worth savoring.
- God is kind to give us Someone to talk to when the world seems beyond our understanding.
- Prayer is the most powerful tool in our “toolbox.”
No pressure! You have so much to do (thank you for doing them!), but if you get a chance, I’d love to hear from you about what you are learning and what blessings you are appreciating anew. Again, no pressure!
Rejoice always;
pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

The Life of Laura Ingalls Wilder in Story and Song
Absolutely everyone is essential. And truth may not happen while we are around to see it but it doesn’t diminish. I hope I see the truth revealed but it doesn’t matter. God values that above man’s “science” “truths” “justices “. Truth stands when all else falls.
