Sparkle
The very first words the Bible tells us that God said were these:
Let there be light.
That must have been a beautiful sight.
A few months ago I went to the river near our house to take pictures on a sunny afternoon. The light was just right and made the prettiest sparkles on the water.
Every child has a sparkle and every child feels really good when he or she can let that sparkle shine.
Some children sparkle easily. They have gifts that just about everyone recognizes and applauds. Other children’s sparkles aren’t as obvious. Many children need wise, persevering mamas who will help them find their sparkle.
And every child needs a mama who will applaud and nurture her sparkle, who will give him opportunities to let his sparkle shine, and who will wait patiently if the sparkle is slow in coming.
Let your light shine before men in such a way
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
