My message today is one of gratitude for you. Thank you for reading these daily thoughts. Writing them and knowing that you read them is a great joy in my life.

I remember back almost eight years ago when I began. I wanted to help mamas. I didn’t know how much the process would help me. To think about what you might need and to find Scriptures to help you has nourished my own heart, soul, and mind. God has used the process to feed me. His answers for you are His answers for me. Writing for you reminds me of this.

I hope that I don’t seem insincere when I say what I am about to say, but I do care about you. I care what you are going through. What is overwhelmingly amazing to me is that God loves us so much. He cares what we are going through. You are precious to Him and I am precious to Him. He loves you and He loves me.

Over a year ago, Ray and I went to a wedding in Idaho. We got to spend a day in the Tetons and we drove briefly into the southern portion of Yellowstone, fulfilling a dream I had of seeing Yellowstone in the snow. I especially enjoyed seeing the baby pines, like this one. I see hope in that little tree. God made it grow. He can and does make us grow, too.

Never, ever, ever give up on Him. He can carry you through anything and He wants very much to do that. His generosity is amazing. His grace is powerful and sustaining and available.

Again, thank you.

For this reason I bend my knees before the Father,
 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,
to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self,
 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
 may be able to comprehend with all the saints
what is the width and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge,
that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:14-19

  2. Charlene, thank YOU so much for your steady faithfulness to write these encouraging posts day after day, year after year! I don’t always comment, but I ALWAYS read. And over the years, I have been so encouraged in the faith, have grown in knowledge of history and homeschooling, and have been comforted and soothed by the word of God that you always center your posts upon. I could say so much more about the many ways your blog has enriched and encouraged, but will just say that I am so very grateful to God for you!

  3. Charlene, I am so grateful to the Lord for your daily encouragement to keep abiding in Christ, to love my husband and to be busy raising children to know and love Jesus.
    I have kids from 28 to 12. I am a homeschooling momma that sometimes has grand boys running around my ankles. I can truly testify with you and John that there is no greater joy than to see my children walking in truth!
