Then God said . . .
Then God said,
“Let the earth sprout vegetation,
plants yielding seed,
and fruit trees on the earth
bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them”;
and it was so.
Genesis 1:11
And this year He is putting on a grand art exhibition with the descendants of that vegetation He created that day. We are having the prettiest Tennessee fall in years.
On Monday in the late afternoon, I returned home from a delightful time with grandchildren. My heart was beaming, and the sun was shining on the fall colors in our yard. I went from flower to flower and tree to tree recording their glory. Today I’d simply like to share those scenes with you as we rejoice together in the beauty God created.

The trees of the Lord drink their fill,
The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
Where the birds build their nests,
And the stork, whose home is the fir trees. . . .
He made the moon for the seasons;
The sun knows the place of its setting. . . .
O Lord, how many are Your works!
In wisdom You have made them all;
The earth is full of Your possessions.
