Being Present in Precious Moments

While Ray and I were visiting our younger daughter and her family at their house recently, our four-year-old grandson asked me to come and see the “tractor” he had made from two fat plastic baseball bats and a bench. He sat on the bench between the two bats. Their knobs rested on the bench and their barrels extended at an angle down to the ground. He showed me how he could lift his tractor’s two “levers” up and down to perform various tasks. As I stood there watching his demonstration, he asked me, “Do you know Who made the wuld?” I had to get him to repeat his question a couple of times before I knew for sure that the wuld was “the world.”

“God did,” I replied.

“And people made the things,” he told me.

“Who made the people?” I asked.

“God did,” he said, “even you.”

A slice of the beautiful “wuld” that God made.

Even me. What a sweet reminder coming from one of the dearest faces on earth to me.

I am grateful that I was present for that precious moment.

I encourage you to be present and to cherish all of the precious moments in your life today.

Behold, children are a gift of the Lord . . .
