Hometown stories with ????
People are fascinating. Last night I had tea with Ray, played with some of our grandchildren, read a letter from my college roommate who was born and spent her childhood in China, and had a nice long phone chat with one of the ladies I interviewed for our Hometown History videos. Each of these people is unique, while each is also made in the image of God.
Yesterday we released the second video in our Hometown History series. We decided that this series needed an introduction. We wanted you and other homeschoolers to know why we want to share these videos with you. We wanted you to know the story behind the stories. This time Ray and I are the ones in front of the camera. He interviewed me and I interviewed him.
We believe that the values of our neighbors will inspire you and your children. I love what Ray said in this video about heroes. He said that history is not just about the big names like Charles Lindbergh and Winston Churchill. Great people and great accomplishers can come from little towns, so maybe the next hero will come from our town of Gainesboro — or from your hometown.
What a blessing that you get to live with and teach unique children, created in the image of God.
