Honoring the Thoughts and Efforts of Children

An elaborate, handmade pop-up card arrived at our house recently from our four-year-old granddaughter. Having her watch it be opened on Zoom turned out to be a precious memory. Our granddaughter began to bubble over with details about what all of her decorations were. I was amazed at how well she remembered the details of a card that her mama put in the mail at least four days before. Obviously, our little granddaughter had thought very deeply about what she was doing. Her memories of what she had created were vivid.

The thoughts and efforts of every child are precious. You are privileged to have daily opportunities to peek into those thoughts and to praise their efforts.

And He took them in His arms
and began blessing them,
laying His hands on them.
Mark 10:16
