How do I know what is most important?

The apostle Paul told Timothy the why of what the two of them were doing. It’s the perfect why for every day you spend with your children. In 1 Timothy 1:5, Paul said:

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

I pray that your heroic efforts as a homeschooling mama this year have those same results: love from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.
This is what is ultimately most important. Paul’s prayer for the Philippians is a beautiful summary of a mama’s desire for her children:

And this I pray,
that your love may abound still more and more
in real knowledge and all discernment,
so that you may approve the things that are excellent,
in order to be sincere and blameless
until the day of Christ;
having been filled with the fruit of righteousness
which comes through Jesus Christ,
to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:8-11
