I Read It on a T-Shirt

When Ray and I went to the Minnesota homeschool convention in Duluth a few weeks ago, the Wisconsin Dells was a convenient stop for lunch on the way up and for supper on the way back home a few days later.

It was Wisconsin! We had to try fried cheese curds!

As it turns out, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, is pretty deserted on a Monday evening in April, so we had first pick of the kiddie rides before dinner.

Okay, we didn’t actually put money in them. I’m always on the lookout for a silly picture for our grandkids. I’m also on the lookout for unusual decorating ideas. Here’s the “chandelier” in the restaurant where we had supper.

I’m really not on the lookout for sayings on T-shirts, but one did catch my eye while we were in the Dells. Two or three teen girls were walking by themselves on a sidewalk. One of them was wearing a T-shirt that read:

I
MAKE
BAD
CHOICES

During that same trip, I saw a young man wearing one with these words:

FORGET
THE RULES

Thank you for being counter-cultural by teaching your children how to make good choices and to follow the rules that God has commanded. Even the Son of God chose to obey, counter-cultural or not.

For I have come down from heaven,
not to do My own will,
but the will of Him who sent Me.
John 8:38
