We Have a Date!
Ray and I are deeply grateful to each of you who has prayed for us over the last several months. God has given us joy and peace and has allowed us to learn many lessons about waiting. We learned on February 20 that Ray needed mitral valve surgery. Yesterday we learned for certain that his surgery is planned for two weeks from today, on July 25. Our family physician and friend, Dr. Chet Gentry, texted this to me yesterday morning: “I pray God’s continued hand in restoring and retaining his health.” Would you please join us in that prayer, too?
As you can see in this photo our friend took during our mini-vacation to Cumberland Mountain State Park the last week of June, Ray continues to be amazingly healthy for someone with heart and lung challenges. I’d appreciate your prayers for my tall husband’s healing from the top of his head to the bottom of his size 12 feet, and also for safe travels for family members joining us at the hospital.
Be anxious for nothing,
but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God,
which surpasses all comprehension,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
