What Will That Child Get into Next?
Over the weekend, we started sharing a brand new video we made this summer. In case you haven’t seen it yet, the link’s at the bottom. But first let me tell you a bit of the story behind the story.
Several weeks ago our wonderful most-of-the-time shipper, part-of-the-time videographer and video editor, and all-of-the-time great husband and daddy Ethan (who is also a homeschool graduate) gathered up our video gear.
It must have been a Thursday when we shot the inside video because my mama almost always does her laundry on Thursday. When she came to the door of the laundry room that day, she was a bit stunned to find Ethan with a tripod and me jabbering away. I asked Mother if she could come back later.
We continued on with our antics and takes and retakes and more retakes before we finally got to the final scene. When you get to the end of the video and see the setting and my particular situation, I want you to imagine the scene. The only way to get into that room is by going through the laundry room.
In the middle of filming that scene Mother came back to do her laundry and was stopped in her tracks for the second time that morning!
Have you ever wondered what your child will get into next? I guess my mama is still wondering that — and she’s been wondering it for a long time.

Love, love, love the video. I laughed so hard my 13 year old daughter came into the room wanting to see what made Mama laugh. She didn’t get it! That made me laugh even harder! Thank you for the good belly laugh today! Good way to start the week off. Trust your mama finally got her laundry done. My mom, now with the Lord no longer wonders what THIS child is up to, but my dad does.
